We sing songs that proclaim we have a miracle working God that we call “Father.” He is a God who withholds no good thing and has his eye on the people He loves; His ear is inclined to them as well. He destines a hope and we have a future because of Him. He says that if we draw near to Him, He will draw near to us to heal, repair, and show us His “constant-ness.”
So why wouldn’t we pray? If our simple awareness in a moment can bring about rebirth, revelation and revive what was just surviving, what can 30 minutes do? For me, it was a half an hour chunk that brought me into submission to His mission and Kingdom. For a moment, I did not know how to solve, fix, or brainstorm.
Sometimes it takes an unsolvable problem for us to ask again, “What are you saying, Father?” Or, just to repeat, “Your Kingdom come, your will be done, on Earth as it is in Heaven.” We have the honor to be His mouthpiece. When we pause to listen and then boldly proclaim – things start to change.
